Browser-based Solution

dEX comes pre-installed on every logger in the DT80 range. The software loads in your web browser so there is no need to install cumbersome applications on your computer. Being browser-based, dEX will work on all major operating systems including Windows, Mac, and Linux.

dEX Web Software Configuration Editor

The configuration editor allows you to view, edit and save logger configurations in an easy-to-use Windows Explorer style user interface. The configuration tree view allows the definition of measurement schedules and measurements.

Wiring diagrams show available wiring configurations for each sensor type. Configuration can be stored and retrieved on either the logger or a local computer.

Mimics and Charts

Mimics are organized into panels which can be modified to highlight custom alarm conditions or data grouping. Mimics include dials, bar graphs, thermometers, etc. Real-time chart recorder mimic allows you to view trends and historical data over a custom time/date range. Up to 16 mimics can be displayed on up to 5 mimic pages.

Increasing the channel capacity of the dataTaker DT8x range is easy by adding the Channel Expansion Module (CEM20). Each CEM20 20 Channel Expansion Module connects 20 universal data logging channels to the dataTaker data logger. A CEM20 connects to one analog channel of the data logger. The effectively expands the total channel capacity of the DT80 to 320 analog inputs and the DT85 to 960 inputs. Incorporating the same dual isolation technology as the DT8x range of data loggers, each channel of the CEM20 can be used for two isolated inputs or three common reference inputs so the maximum inputs increase further.

Easy Setup and Connection

The CEM20 is powered directly from the data logger 12V input. Analog output connections of the CEM20 connect to an analog channel of the data logger. Analog and control cables for connection to the dataTaker data logger are included.

The PE Portable Enclosure is designed with a rugged, all-weather design suitable for harsh environments and sized for the dataTaker DT80 range.

dataTaker enclosures give you the flexibility to install your dataTaker system in a harsh or otherwise unsuitable environment by providing protection against external conditions such as water, dust, and accidental damage. These enclosures are suitable for all dataTaker systems and can be used for, industrial, weatherproof or portable applications.

All of the enclosures provide mounting arrangements for the supported dataTaker models. Depending on the size of the logger and the size of the enclosure, you can also fit various other devices inside the case such as external batteries, power supplies, modems, displays etc. Each of the enclosures includes a metal base plate that has screw holes designed to fit various models of dataTaker data loggers. A drill and tap is also provided to allow you to customize the position of the screw holes for the logger and/or other devices.

We offer customization services to mount other equipment such as cell modems, batteries or custom transducers within the enclosure. We can also mount connectors for thermocouples or other transducers to create a turn-key package.
