CAS DataLoggers has created a user-friendly Thermal Sterilization Verification Kit designed for the efficient elimination of bed bugs through temperature remediation. Elevating the room or structure’s temperature to a level that exterminates all active insects and eggs has proven to be an effective strategy. This thermal verification kit provides a simple and reliable solution for ensuring successful bed bug extermination, giving users peace of mind in their pest control efforts.

The CAS Bed Bug remediation kit is equipped with T&D wireless temperature data loggers, allowing for precise monitoring of temperatures within the affected structure. By using a handheld data collector, users can ensure that the necessary temperature is reached and maintained for the required duration to completely eradicate the infestation. These compact loggers can be strategically placed throughout the area, with external sensors enabling temperature detection within various contents of the rooms, such as under mattresses and furniture cushions. This comprehensive approach ensures thorough remediation.

The temperature record of the remediation provides assurance to both the service provider and the customer that the correct temperature profile was achieved, ensuring the effectiveness of the process. This documentation offers peace of mind by demonstrating compliance with specified requirements and standards. It serves as a reliable measure of the successful completion of the remediation, instilling confidence in the outcome.

Adobe Flash Obsolescence and dataTaker Data Loggers

With the discontinuation of Adobe Flash support in all of the major web browsers as of January 1, 2021, a number of our existing customers have run into problems using dataTaker data loggers with older versions of the dEX software that relied on Flash.

The good news is that there is a new version of the dEX software that does not use Flash, however, installation can be a bit problematic. Here is a brief guide on installing the new dEX 2.0 software:

Step 1. Download the current version of the dEX 2.0 installer for Windows here.

Step 2. Run the installation program by double-clicking on the .exe file that you downloaded.

Step 3. With normal security settings in Windows, you will get the following warning about running the installer application:

Step 4. At this point, click on the More Info link and a second pop-up window will appear:

Step 5. Click on the Run Anyway button to install the new version of the dEX 2.0 software.

Please be aware that the new version of dEX requires that the logger be running firmware version 9.22 or later. Loggers with older firmware will need to be upgraded. The newer firmware is available here.

Also, the new version of dEX does not use Flash and it is quite different from the previous versions of dEX. You may be able to download your existing program from the logger and import it into the new environment, but the compatibility is limited and some of the features of the previous version may not be supported. The mimics and charts, in particular, are substantially different and will need to be recreated in the new version. You can download a manual for dEX 2.0 here.

For further information on Installing dEX 2.0 for Windows, or to find the ideal solution for your application-specific needs, contact a CAS Data Logger Application Specialist at (800) 956-4437 or request more information.

CAS Dataloggers has created a number of kit based solutions for the monitoring of temperatures in refrigerators and freezers. These kits are designed to provide a simple and effective solution that is easy to install and can provide critical temperature data immediately. Based around wired Ethernet, Wi-Fi and even wireless hardware, we have the solution to your temperature monitoring problem.

The key feature; replacing outdated, manual temperature data collection with automated data logging provides more accurate data that is automatically archived with no manual intervention required. In addition, and equally as important, is the alarming feature to alert you when an out of tolerance condition exists. This enables you to react to the situation before product degradation or spoilage can occur.

The kits are made up of temperature sensors and a data logger or network connected device to record and transmit data to either a cloud based server, or to a location on your internal network. The sensor is placed inside the refrigerator or freezer cavity with the electronics located outside the cavity. Data and current temperatures are available from the included software or using a web browser to the cloud server.

Maintaining the correct temperature during storage is critical for most vaccine product. Federal and State vaccine programs require that the storage temperature of vaccines is recorded to ensure that the efficacy is maintained.

The CDC recommends a continuous monitoring and recording digital data logger. CAS Dataloggers has created a number of kit based solutions for recording and monitoring the storage temperature of vaccines in refrigerators and freezers. These kits are designed to provide a simple and effective solution that is easy to install and can provide critical temperature data immediately.

Based around wired Ethernet, Wi-Fi and even wireless hardware, these kits meet the key recommendations of the CDC.

The key feature; replacing outdated, manual temperature data collection with automated data logging provides more accurate data that is automatically archived with no manual intervention required. In addition, and equally as important, is the alarming feature to alert you when an out of tolerance condition exists. This enables you to react to the situation before vaccine degradation or spoilage can occur.

The kits are made up of temperature sensors, thermal buffers and a data logger or network connected device to record and transmit data to either a cloud based server, or to a location on your internal network. The sensor is placed inside the refrigerator or freezer cavity with the electronics located outside the cavity. Data and current temperatures are available from the included software or using a web browser to the cloud server.

If monitoring the temperature in a storage refrigerator or freezer is important to you and your business, research or life sciences facility, give us a call at CAS DataLoggers. Our experienced application engineers can work with you to identify the best solution for your temperature monitoring needs.

Clinical laboratories, fertility clinics and analytical labs all rely on incubators to maintain temperature, humidity and other conditions such as oxygen and carbon dioxide concentration for growth and storage of biologic cultures, cells and tissue. For consistent experiments and procedures, it is critical to maintain these parameters record them for historical archive. CAS DataLoggers has developed a number of incubator monitoring kits to fill this need.

The kits are made up of sensors and data loggers or network connected devices to send the data to either a cloud server or a server on the local network. In some cases, a voltage or 4-20 mA current input is provided by the incubator which be used in place of additional sensors. The system will automatically collect and store the desired parameters and equally as important, will generate alarms to alert you to out of tolerance conditions to prevent spoilage of tissue, cells and cultures.

The systems can also provide indication and record of door openings as well as alarms generated by the incubator itself. These systems can be expanded to include temperature monitoring of storage refrigerators and freezers as well as storage areas giving you a complete solution for your laboratory or research facility.

If maintaining a consistent environment in your facility’s incubators is critical for your research or operation, give us a call at CAS DataLoggers. Our experienced application specialists can assist you with finding the best solution for your specific requirements.

Laboratories, clinical procedure rooms and operating rooms are increasingly required to monitor the ambient temperature, humidity and pressure across the room boundaries. A data logging and monitoring system using the CAS Dataloggers clean room monitoring kit will record these parameters for historical records as well as provide alarm notification when the measurements threshold have been breached.

CAS DataLoggers Clean room monitoring kit is based around our popular Accsense monitoring products. The measurement pods use internal temperature and humidity sensors and an external delta-pressure sensor for the room positive pressure measurement. The clean room monitoring kit can be added to an existing Accsense refrigerator/freezer temperature monitoring system, or operate as a stand alone system for the clean rooms. The kit is used in hospital and clinic environments as well as laboratory and sophisticated manufacturing processes where ensuring a clean controlled environment is necessary.

Contact us at CAS DataLoggers to discuss your clean room monitoring requirements with one of our application specialists. We can adapt the basic kit to meet your specific requirements.
