We’re writing to inform you of an important update regarding the Accsense Monitoring System. Launched in 2008, the Accsense system has proudly provided reliable temperature monitoring to thousands of leading healthcare and life science institutions worldwide. We appreciate your long-standing trust and partnership.
However, over the past few years, we’ve encountered several significant challenges that make it difficult to continue operating the current system effectively. These include:
- Component Obsolescence: Key processors and wireless radio modules are reaching their end-of-life, which would require a complete redesign of hardware modules.
- Security Certificate Expiration: The embedded security certificates essential for secure communication will expire in August 2026. Updating these would unfortunately necessitate an impractical recall of all units for a firmware update.
- Hosting Service Transition: Our current hosting provider for the Accsense online service is winding down, requiring a complex migration of our software to a new provider.
- Technological Advancements: Technology has evolved significantly since Accsense was developed. To meet modern standards and ensure continued reliability, substantial portions of the core software would need to be rewritten.
For all these reasons, we’ve made the difficult decision to sunset the current Accsense Monitoring System in August 2026.
Introducing Accsense Pro: Your Enhanced Monitoring Solution
The good news is that we’ve already launched its successor: the new Accsense Pro monitoring system in May of this year! Accsense Pro was developed to provide a seamless forward path and enhance the core capabilities you rely on. It includes all the key features of the original Accsense system, such as:
