New A2-06 Temperature & Alarming Monitoring Pod by CAS

Medical storage applications depend heavily on monitoring the temperature of the goods in cold storage to protect items such as vaccines, blood, medicine, and tissue samples. CAS DataLoggers is pleased to introduce the A2-06 Ethernet Wired Temperature Measurement Pod designed for measuring temperatures in medical refrigerators, freezers, incubators, and in cryogenic storage. The pod is an Ethernet LAN-wired temperature monitor with connections for two external RTDs and a thermocouple sensor. The monitor uses a standard Ethernet connection to the Internet and supports Power over Ethernet technology to simplify installation.

new a2-06The A2-06 is a follow-on to the very popular A2-05 measurement pod which has an installed base of more than 3000 units worldwide. The A2-06 offers an enhanced processor with improved networking software and an extended local data buffer from 256 points to 10,000 points but retains the excellent reliability and measurement accuracy of the A2-05. The A2-06 pod features inputs for 2 RTD temperature probes with a temperature measurement range of -100°C (-148°F) to +100°C (+212°F) for use in refrigerators, freezers, and incubators, and an additional input for 1 thermocouple measuring from -200°C (-328°F) to -100°C (-148°F) for use in cryogenic storage units. Each monitor includes a power adapter and Ethernet cables. This automated solution is designed for easy installation and quick setup considering the pod features centralized management with no software to install–simply plug the monitor into a router with a DHCP server or assign it a fixed IP address with the Accsense configuration utility. Additionally, the pod can be utilized in conjunction with other Accsense wired and wireless pods to provide a unified monitoring point for specific applications.

The A2-06 automatically uploads data at a specified interval to the Accsense cloud servers where users can access both live and historic data as well as easily change settings and set local and remote alarms. Alarm levels and contacts can be sent by phone, email, and text message. Data from multiple systems can all be viewed from a single screen, even if located in different facilities. Forming a completely secure solution, the A2-06 pod encrypts all data automatically sending it to the Accsense secure servers. Users can then log in using any Web browser to retrieve reports and graphs or modify the system’s configuration from anywhere an Internet connection is available.
